Welcome! The MOMS Club® of Leander,Texas is a chapter of the International MOMS Club®, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing support for mothers.  We offer an array of daytime activities for mothers and their children as well as community service projects focused on helping children and families in need. 

 

Our chapter services the residents of Leander (Zip Code 78641) and Liberty Hill. If you do not live in these areas, do not worry! MOMS Club® has several other chapters in the Austin, TX area.  To find a chapter near you, visit www.momsclub.org,

 

Our mission consists of the following goals and principles:

 

Goals

• To provide a support group for mothers who are primarily free during the daytime

• To provide a forum for topics of interest to mothers

• To help children in the community

• To perform at least one service project yearly helping needy children 

 

 

Principles

• That women must be free to choose their personal path to fulfillment

• That, for women who choose it, raising children is an important and fulfilling full-time job

• That a family's decision for a mother to stay at home to raise the children often involves considerable financial sacrifice

• That a mother's role is no less diminished by the number of hours she chooses to work (if any), either inside or outside the home

• That there is no one right way to raise children, but our members have a common concern in raising their children in a healthful way

 

The chapter is run by a board of 5 moms elected by the members of the chapter. The board consists of the President, Administrative Vice President, Membership Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. We also have activity coordinators that help organize playgroups, sunshine committee, book club, etc. All volunteer their time to help the club achieve the goals set above. Our Board meets each month to put together a calendar of events for our members. The calendar is included in a monthly newsletter that members receive at the start of the month.

 

We also have a general business meeting the first Wednesday of each month where members can come discuss and vote on the business of the club. We encourage mothers who are interested in joining the club to come to one of our general business meetings to learn more about our club, as well as attend an open house before deciding to join.  

 

Children are welcome at all of our daytime events. In addition to club events, we offer playgroups, a mom's night out once a month, a book club, recipe club, and a sunshine committee. Visit our Activities page for more information about our activity groups.  

 

Our Administrative VP coordinates our service projects throughout the year. Some of our service projects include providing meals and supplies to various charitable organizations that serve families or children in need. We love to give back to our community!

 

Our club is designed around the schedules and needs of our members. We welcome mothers with children of all ages, as we know, mothers need support even after the kids enter school!
