FAQ

How can I join the club?
Our chapter is open to all moms living in Leander and Liberty Hill. Please visit the JOIN page for more details.

I don't live in Leander or Liberty Hill.  Can I still join your club?

Our chapter serves moms in Leander and Liberty Hill.  If you live outside these areas, we will be happy to connect you to your nearest chapter. There are thousands of MOMS Club® chapters across the country, including several in the Greater Austin area. You can also contact support@momsclub.org or visit the MOMS Club® International website, www.momsclub.org, to find the chapter nearest you.

Can I join if I'm not a mom?

Dads, nannies, and other caregivers can apply to join, and will be admitted on a case-by-case basis upon vote by the current members. If you would like to apply to join, please email us.

Moms, including expectant moms and grandmothers, are automatically eligible to join the MOMS Club® chapter in their area.

When do your activities meet?

Most of our activities are held during daytime hours on various days of the week. We do have a monthly mom's night out and one weekend event per month.

How do I find out about activities?
For a list of our upcoming open-house events please email us or visit our Facebook Page. Prospective members can attend up to two open-house events before joining.  Once you become a member, you'll receive our full  calendar of  members-only events and have access to our private Facebook group.

Can I bring my children? We offer several daytime events each month which you can bring your kids to. For our mom-only events such as MOMS Night Out, and JUMP (Just Us Moms Play) we ask that you leave the kids at home, but nursing infants are always welcome.

Do I have to attend every event?
Not at all! We encourage you to attend as many events or activities as you like. We know that life sometimes gets hectic, so we try to provide a well-rounded calendar each month from which you can pick your activities.

Who runs the club and the meetings?
We have a volunteer board of 5 moms: President, Administrative Vice President, Membership Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary. All serve for one year, with elections every June.  If you are interested in helping out with any of these, feel free to contact a board member for more information.

Where do our dues go?
Most of the dues go to club expenses - copies, postage, office supplies, service projects and parties. We are also required to send a portion of our dues to International MOMS Club annually to cover their costs. Our dues are kept low to encourage membership. However, anyone who may have difficulty paying the dues should contact us to discuss other options. No mom will ever be turned away from the club because of an inability to pay the dues.

Can I invite non-member friends to MOMS Club meetings?
Definitely! Please help your friends find out about MOMS Club by telling them about us and inviting them to our open-house events. Prospective members may attend two public events before deciding to join.

Can I bring other people's children to MOMS Club functions?
Sure! If you do bring another person's child, you must fill out a liability and medical release form. Please contact us for more information.

Can I bring my kids' grandmother/husband/significant other with me to events?

You can bring along any guests that you wish to our public events. However, we ask that only members attend our private events unless you have been given specific permission otherwise.

How can I take a more active role in the MOMS Club?
If you are interested in taking a more active role, feel free to offer your assistance to any board member or coordinator. We each bring unique talents to the club. So offer your help to whichever board member or coordinator is in charge of whatever it is that you'd like to help out with. Also, watch for information in the Spring about club-wide elections.

I'm not a mom yet, but I'm pregnant. Can I join before my baby is born?

Yes!  We would love to help you make the transition into being a mommy!  Being a first-time parent is tough, but we are here to support you through the whole process, so don't wait until baby comes to get connected with us.
